Top 10 Fun Restaurants on Oahu

Criteria: These restaurants are friendly for families or travelers at a moderate/high to low price. They are not large franchises, but each includes a fun Hawaiian experience. We’ve chosen an eclectic group of places here (and there are other very good choices we could have made) but we think this is a great initial list for Oahu visitors.

  1. Duke’s Barefoot Bar on Waikiki – Sit on the beach, listen to the waves, and eat some good food. The Barefoot bar menu contains sandwiches, pizza and other casual dishes. ALWAYS follow your meal with a Hula Pie – their specialty. It can be shared by up to four people.  For a larger selection of entrees, eat inside. You can still enjoy the ambiance, and the Hula Pie. If you come on a Friday night you can see the Waikiki fireworks hosted by the Hilton Hawaiian Village (usually at 7:45pm) Website. $$$.
  2. Cinnamon’s  (Kailua) Open from 7am to 2pm. This is an enjoyable place for breakfast or lunch. It is very casual; you can sit inside or outside, and enjoy the scrumptious dishes. For breakfast try their specialty (guava chiffon) pancakes and cinnamon rolls as well as traditional egg dishes/ omelets/ eggs Benedict, etc. (315 Uluniu St, Kailua, Oahu, HI, 808-261-8724 Website.
